Inflammation : a danger to health
TIME called it "The Secret Killer"...but you can help protect yourself from it.
TIME magazine ran an astonishing story in 2004 about inflammation and its destructive effect on the body's health. The story was titled :
"The Secret Killer" - the surprising link between inflammation and heart attacks, cancer, Alzheimer's and other diseases. (you can read TIME's entire story by visiting its website - www.time.com - and entering "The Secret Killer" in the search box)
Inflammation is much more than a swollen ankle or a painful toe : it's becoming more and more recognized as a factor in serious health conditions. In the years following TIME's story, medical science went on to find even more links between chronic inflammation and the highly debilitating diseases of heart attacks, Alzheimer's Disease, asthma, allergies, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, fibromyalgia, IBS and other major health issues.
These links are just dumbfounding : that so many diseases all can stem from just one medical condition - chronic inflammation. While our body use inflammation as a natural defense mechanism against toxins in our everyday world, too much inflammation can clearly cause problems.

Nopalea's Betalains to the rescue

If chronic inflammation is the problem, then Nopalea is a natural solution. Its nopal cactus fruit juice contains a very rare and powerful class of antioxidant called Betalains (bay ´ta lins). Betalains have been scientifically proven, in hundreds of studies, to help the body detoxify itself and reduce inflammation.

But getting Betalains can be difficult
The average U.S. or Canadian diet is typically devoid of Betalains. The main reason for this is that Betalains are only available from a few types of plants : the nopal cactus, beets, Swiss chard and a few weeds and fungi.
Furthermore, not all Betalain-producing plants are equal. Plants produce Betalains to protect themselves from harsh environments - the harsher the environment, the greater the Betalain production. That's why, among all of the world's plants, the nopal cactus has the highest concentrations of Betalains due to the fact that it lives in the brutally inhospitable conditions of the Sonoran Desert.
When you consider today's increasingly toxic world, it's easy to see why your body needs the daily detoxifying and anti-inflammatory power of Nopalea and its powerful Betalains. Drink it and thrive.
